Bestuurders hebben de afgelopen jaren de toenemende onvrede van studenten en medewerkers keer op keer genegeerd. De terugkerende protesten tonen aan dat studenten en medewerkers niet serieus worden genomen. Hun stem wordt niet geïntegreerd in de besluitvorming en belangrijke besluiten worden over de rug van studenten en medewerkers genomen.
Het is nu tijd om een signaal af te geven aan het bestuur van de UvA en de rest van Nederland. Als kennisinstituut vervult de universiteit een fundamentele rol in de maatschappij. Met onze acties willen we een belangrijk debat aanwakkeren over de structuur en toekomst van ons onderwijs.
Kom op woensdag 25 februari om 17:00 uur naar het Bungehuis in Amsterdam loop mee voor meer democratie in het hoger onderwijs.

The last couple of years increasing discontent among students and employees has been ignored by university managers. As discontent increases, students’ protests multiply. Yet our claims are not taken into consideration; our voice is not integrated in the process of policy making and important decisions concerning the future of our education are taken behind closed doors.
The time has come to send a critical and necessary message to the executive board of the UvA and the Netherlands. As a scientific institute the university plays an essential role in society. With these actions we want to stimulate an important debate concerning the structure and future of education.
Join us on the 25th of February in Amsterdam to march for more democracy in higher education.
