Economics in Simple Terms
Would you like to have economic crisis explained in simple terms?
In our second lecture of our ‘Economics in Simple Terms’ series we will look at financial crisis. What are the root causes of crisis? Are austerity measures really the best way out? What are the interests behind the financial system? Is crises endemic to a capitalist economy?
Join us for a critical discussion about these questions and more with two renowned experts and great speakers.
Dr. Howard Nicholas: Senior Lecturer of Economics at the Institute of Social Studies. He is a world-renowned development economist and has received Best Lecturer Award ten consequitive years.
Dr. Dimtris Pavlopoulos: Holds a PhD in Economics and is Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Free University of Amsterdam. He has been active in the anti-austerity protest movement.
Attendance is open to all and registration is not necessary. Drinks will be had afterwards.
