Every month, Critical Collective screens a critical documentary, accompanied by a lively discussion and a tasty dinner. February’s Film & Food Night will feature the thought provoking documentary ‘Vietnam – American Holocaust’.
Based on leaked US government documents, the film shows how over four million Vietnamese were killed in carefully planned military campaigns by the US government. Besides detailing the historic background of one of recent history’s most significant events, the documentary brilliantly captures the horrors of modern warfare from the perspective of its victims. This teaches us more than just about Vietnam, since key tactics from the Vietnam war continue to be used today.
